Prashna Upanishad 6.5 meaning
sa yath-ema nadyah syandamanah samudrayanah samudram prapy-astam gachchanti
bhidyete tasam namaroope samudra ity evam prochyate
Just as these flowing rivers, heading for the ocean, disappear once they reach it — their names and forms dissolve, and it is simply called the ocean.
What it means
All the parts of a person, Pippalada says, return to one source the way rivers lose their names in the sea. Endings need not be pure loss; they can be a homecoming into something larger.
Spoken by Pippalada.
