A dog wags its tail, falls at the feet of whoever feeds it, and rolls over to show its mouth and belly. But a great elephant looks calmly at the one who feeds him, and eats only after being coaxed a hundred times.
What it means
You can accept help without losing your dignity. Be grateful, but don't grovel or flatter for favours. People respect those who are warm yet self-respecting, not those who beg for approval.
