Narada Bhakti Sutra 57 meaning
uttarasmad uttarasmat poorvapoorva shreyaya bhavati
उत्तरस्मादुत्तरस्मात्पूर्वपूर्वा श्रेयाय भवति॥
Among these three kinds, each earlier type of devotion is better and more helpful than the one that follows it.
