Mandukya Upanishad 12 meaning
amatrash chaturthovyavaharyah prapanch-opashamah shivodvaita evam onkara atm-aiva
sanvishaty atmanatmanam ya evam veda
अमात्रश्चतुर्थोऽव्यवहार्यः प्रपञ्चोपशमः शिवोऽद्वैत एवमोङ्कार आत्मैव।
संविशत्यात्मनाऽऽत्मानं य एवं वेद॥
The fourth has no letter. It is beyond all dealings, where the world falls silent, auspicious and non-dual. So Om is truly the Self. One who knows this enters the Self through the Self.
What it means
After the A-U-M fades, there is silence. That silence is the fourth, the deepest truth. Sit in the stillness after a chant or a breath and you will find a peace no sound can hold.हिंदी में अर्थ
चौथा बिना मात्रा का है। वह व्यवहार से परे है, जहाँ संसार शांत हो जाता है, मंगलमय और अद्वैत। इस तरह ॐ वास्तव में आत्मा ही है। जो इसे जानता है, वह स्वयं के द्वारा स्वयं में प्रवेश करता है।
अ-उ-म के बाद जो मौन बचता है, वही चौथा है, सबसे गहरा सत्य। किसी जप या साँस के बाद उस मौन में बैठो, वहाँ ऐसी शांति है जिसे कोई ध्वनि नहीं समेट सकती।
