Mandukya Upanishad 1 meaning
ॐ ity etad aksharam idam sarvam tasy-opavyakhyanam bhootam bhavad bhavishyad iti sarvam onkara eva
yach ch-anyat trikal-ateetam tad apy onkara eva
ॐ इत्येतदक्षरमिदं सर्वं तस्योपव्याख्यानं भूतं भवद्भविष्यदिति सर्वमोङ्कार एव।
यच्चान्यत्त्रिकालातीतं तदप्योङ्कार एव॥
Om is this imperishable sound, and all this is Om. Here is its explanation: past, present and future are all Om. And whatever lies beyond the three times, that too is Om.
What it means
A single sound is offered as a doorway to everything that exists and everything beyond time. Chanting or simply listening to Om can gather a scattered mind back into stillness.हिंदी में अर्थ
ॐ यह अविनाशी अक्षर है, और यह सब कुछ ॐ ही है। इसकी व्याख्या यह है: भूत, वर्तमान और भविष्य सब ॐ है। और जो तीनों कालों से परे है, वह भी ॐ ही है।
एक ध्वनि को पूरे अस्तित्व और समय से परे का द्वार बताया गया है। ॐ का जप या उसे ध्यान से सुनना बिखरे मन को फिर से शांति में समेट सकता है।
