tam atathyabhaye magno jaye sakto yudhishthirah
avyaktam abraveed rajan hatah kunjara ity-uta
तमतथ्यभये मग्नो जये सक्तो युधिष्ठिरः।
अव्यक्तमब्रवीद्राजन्हतः कुञ्जर इत्युत॥
Sinking in fear of telling a lie, yet set on victory, Yudhishthira said indistinctly, 'Slain is the elephant.'
What it means

युधिष्ठिर ने आधा सच कहा ताकि द्रोण समझें अश्वत्थामा मारा गया। उनका रथ, जो धरती से ऊपर चलता था, ज़मीन छू गया। आधा सच भी कीमत लेता है।
