na vishvased avishvaste vishvaste nativishvaset
vishvasad bhayam utpannam moolany-api nikrintati
न विश्वसेदविश्वस्ते विश्वस्ते नातिविश्वसेत्।
विश्वासाद्भयमुत्पन्नं मूलान्यपि निकृन्तति॥
Do not trust someone who is untrustworthy, and do not over-trust even one who is trustworthy. Danger born from blind trust can cut you off at the very roots.

जो भरोसे के लायक नहीं उस पर भरोसा न करें, और जो भरोसेमंद है उस पर भी आँख मूँदकर भरोसा न करें। अंधे भरोसे से पैदा हुआ खतरा जड़ से काट देता है।
भरोसा कीजिए, पर आँखें खुली रखकर। अच्छे लोग भी गलती करते हैं या बदलते हैं। समझदार भरोसा आपको भी बचाता है और रिश्ते को भी।
