Mahabharata 5.35.57 meaning
divasenaiva tat kuryad yena ratrau sukham vaset
ashtamasena tat kuryad yena varshah sukham vaset
दिवसेनैव तत्कुर्याद्येन रात्रौ सुखं वसेत्।
अष्टमासेन तत्कुर्याद्येन वर्षाः सुखं वसेत्॥
During the day, do what will let you rest easy at night. During the eight dry months, do what will let you live comfortably through the rains.

Prepare in good times for harder ones. Do today's work so tonight is peaceful; save in good seasons so lean seasons don't break you. Planning ahead is a gift to your future self.हिंदी में अर्थ
दिन में ऐसा काम करो जिससे रात को चैन से रह सको, और आठ महीनों में ऐसा करो जिससे बरसात के दिन आराम से कट सकें।
अच्छे समय में मुश्किल समय की तैयारी कीजिए। आज का काम आज कीजिए ताकि रात चैन से कटे। आगे की योजना भविष्य के लिए तोहफ़ा है।
