Mahabharata 3.281.22 meaning
prahuh saptapadam mitram budhas tattvarthadarshinah
mitratam cha puraskritya kinchid vakshyami tach chrinu
प्राहुः सप्तपदं मित्रं बुधास्तत्त्वार्थदर्शिनः।
मित्रतां च पुरस्कृत्य किंचिद्वक्ष्यामि तच्छृणु॥
The wise, who see the truth of things, say that friendship is made by walking seven steps together. Holding to that friendship, I will say something; please listen.
What it means
Savitri, walking with Yama, tells him they are now friends. Even death becomes approachable when met with courage and warmth. Shared steps create bonds, so be open to people.हिंदी में अर्थ
तत्व को जानने वाले बुद्धिमान कहते हैं कि सात कदम साथ चलने से मित्रता हो जाती है। उसी मित्रता के नाते मैं कुछ कहती हूँ, सुनिए।
यम के साथ चलती सावित्री कहती है कि अब हम मित्र हैं। साहस और अपनापन हो तो मृत्यु से भी बात हो सकती है। साथ चले कदम रिश्ते बनाते हैं।
