Mahabharata 3.2.25 meaning

manasam shamayet tasmaj jnanen-agnim iv-ambuna prashante manase duhkhe shareeram upashamyati

So calm the pain of the mind with understanding, as one puts out fire with water. When the mind's suffering is soothed, the body's suffering eases too.

What it means
Ancient wisdom already knew that the mind and body are linked. Worry and grief can make us physically ill. Calming the mind through clear thinking helps the whole body heal.
