saktuprasthena vo nayam yajnas tulyo naradhipah
unchavritter vadanyasya kurukshetranivasinah
सक्तुप्रस्थेन वो नायं यज्ञस्तुल्यो नराधिपाः।
उञ्छवृत्तेर्वदान्यस्य कुरुक्षेत्रनिवासिनः॥
O kings, this sacrifice of yours does not equal the single measure of barley flour given by a generous gleaner of Kurukshetra.

हे राजाओं, तुम्हारा यह यज्ञ कुरुक्षेत्र के उस उदार, बिखरे दाने बीनकर जीने वाले के एक सेर सत्तू के दान के बराबर भी नहीं।
युधिष्ठिर के भव्य यज्ञ के बाद सुनहरा नेवला कहता है कि एक गरीब परिवार का अंतिम भोजन दान करना बड़ा था। दान का मूल्य त्याग में है, आकार में नहीं।
