akrodhanah satyavadee bhootanam avihinsakah anasooyur ajihmash cha shatam varshani jeevati

One who is free from anger, truthful, harms no living being, is not envious and is not crooked, lives a hundred years.

What it means
A recipe for a long, healthy life that has nothing to do with diet: no anger, no lies, no harm, no envy, no scheming. A peaceful heart is good for the body as well as the soul.

Spoken by Bhishma.
