malakaropamo rajan bhava mangarikopamah
tatha yuktash chiram rashtram bhoktum shakyasi palayan
मालाकारोपमो राजन्भव माङ्गारिकोपमः।
तथा युक्तश्चिरं राष्ट्रं भोक्तुं शक्यसि पालयन्॥
Be like the gardener, O king, not like the charcoal-maker. Ruling this way, you will be able to enjoy and protect your kingdom for a long time.
What it means
A gardener tends the tree and picks the flowers year after year; a charcoal-maker burns the tree down once. Lead, manage and earn in ways that keep people and resources growing.हिंदी में अर्थ
हे राजन, माली की तरह बनो, कोयला बनाने वाले की तरह नहीं। ऐसा करके तुम लंबे समय तक राज्य का पालन और भोग कर सकोगे।
माली पेड़ को सींचता है और हर साल फूल पाता है, कोयला बनाने वाला एक बार में पेड़ जला देता है। ऐसे नेतृत्व और कमाई करो जिसमें लोग और साधन बढ़ते रहें।
