Kena Upanishad 1.8 meaning
yach chrotrena na shrinoti yena shrotram idam shrutam
tad eva brahma tvam viddhi n-edam yad idam upasate
यच्छ्रोत्रेण न शृणोति येन श्रोत्रमिदं श्रुतम्।
तदेव ब्रह्म त्वं विद्धि नेदं यदिदमुपासते॥
That which the ear cannot hear, but by which the ear itself is heard: know that alone to be Brahman, not this that people worship as an object.
What it means
In a world full of noise, there is a listener inside that is always silent. Turning toward that inner listener, even for a minute, brings a calm that no outside sound can give.हिंदी में अर्थ
जिसे कान सुन नहीं सकता, पर जिसके कारण कान सुन पाता है, उसी को तुम ब्रह्म जानो, उसे नहीं जिसे लोग किसी वस्तु की तरह पूजते हैं।
शोर भरी दुनिया में भीतर एक सुनने वाला है जो सदा मौन है। एक मिनट के लिए भी उसकी ओर मुड़ो, तो ऐसी शांति मिलती है जो कोई बाहरी आवाज़ नहीं दे सकती।
