Katha Upanishad · Valli 1.3
Katha Upanishad 1.3.2 meaning
yah setur eejananam aksharam brahma yat param
abhayam titeershatam param nachiketam shakemahi
May we master the Nachiketa fire, the bridge for those who worship, and also know the imperishable highest Brahman, the fearless far shore for those who wish to cross over.
What it means
Practice is the bridge and truth is the destination. Both matter: routines carry us across, and a clear sense of the goal keeps fear from stopping us halfway.
Spoken by Yama.
