Katha Upanishad 1.1.12 meaning
svarge loke na bhayam kinchan-asti na tatra tvam na jaraya bibheti
ubhe teertv-ashanayapipase shok-atigo modate svargaloke
स्वर्गे लोके न भयं किंचनास्ति न तत्र त्वं न जरया बिभेति।
उभे तीर्त्वाशनायापिपासे शोकातिगो मोदते स्वर्गलोके॥
In heaven there is no fear at all. You, Death, are not there, and no one dreads old age. Beyond hunger and thirst, and past all sorrow, one rejoices in that world.

स्वर्ग में कोई भय नहीं है। वहाँ आप, मृत्यु, नहीं हैं, और कोई बुढ़ापे से नहीं डरता। भूख-प्यास के पार, सारे दुख से ऊपर उठकर वहाँ मनुष्य आनंद करता है।
नचिकेता उस संसार का वर्णन करता है जिसका सब सपना देखते हैं: न डर, न बुढ़ापा, न दुख। हमारी स्वर्ग की कल्पना बताती है कि हम सबसे ज़्यादा किससे डरते हैं।
