mahabeer jab nam sunavai
Ghosts and evil spirits do not come near when someone calls out the name of the great hero.
What it means
Whatever haunts you, dark thoughts or old fears, loses power when you call on courage. Saying a strong, steady name can steady a frightened mind. How it helps in real life
- When you are worried: Alone at home during a thunderstorm, old fears creep in. Turn on a light, sit up, and say the Chalisa aloud slowly.
- As a parent: Your son is scared of the dark after a horror video at school. Teach him one Chalisa line to say when he feels afraid.
