Chanakya Niti 8.13 meaning
shantitulyam tapo nasti na santoshat param sukham
na trishnayah paro vyadhir na cha dharmo dayaparah
शान्तितुल्यं तपो नास्ति न सन्तोषात्परं सुखम् ।
न तृष्णायाः परो व्याधिर्न च धर्मो दयापरः ॥
There is no austerity like inner calm, no happiness greater than contentment, no disease like craving, and no dharma higher than compassion.
What it means
Peace, contentment and kindness are the real achievements. Endless craving is a sickness that no amount of success can cure. Practise calm and compassion daily; they are the heart of a good life.हिंदी में अर्थ
शांति जैसा कोई तप नहीं, संतोष से बड़ा कोई सुख नहीं, तृष्णा जैसा कोई रोग नहीं और दया से बड़ा कोई धर्म नहीं।
शांति, संतोष और दया ही असली उपलब्धियाँ हैं। कभी न मिटने वाली चाह ऐसा रोग है जिसे कोई सफलता ठीक नहीं करती। रोज़ शांति और करुणा का अभ्यास करो।
