Chanakya Niti 7.7 meaning
shakatam panchahastena dashahastena vajinam
gajam hastasahasrena deshatyagena durjanam
शकटं पञ्चहस्तेन दशहस्तेन वाजिनम् ।
गजं हस्तसहस्रेण देशत्यागेन दुर्जनम् ॥
Keep five cubits away from a cart, ten from a horse and a thousand from an elephant; but to avoid a wicked person, leave the country if you must.

Some dangers need a little distance, some need a lot. Toxic people may need the most of all. Don't underestimate how much harm a harmful person can do; protect yourself decisively.हिंदी में अर्थ
बैलगाड़ी से पाँच हाथ, घोड़े से दस हाथ और हाथी से हज़ार हाथ दूर रहो; पर दुष्ट से बचने के लिए ज़रूरत हो तो देश ही छोड़ दो।
कुछ ख़तरों से थोड़ी दूरी काफ़ी है, कुछ से बहुत ज़्यादा चाहिए। ज़हरीले लोगों से सबसे ज़्यादा दूरी रखो। उनके नुकसान को कम मत आँको।
