Chanakya Niti 5.23 meaning
rajapatnee guroh patnee mitrapatnee tatha-iva cha
patneemata svamata cha pancha-ita matarah smritah
राजपत्नी गुरोः पत्नी मित्रपत्नी तथैव च ।
पत्नीमाता स्वमाता च पञ्चैता मातरः स्मृताः ॥
The king's wife, the teacher's wife, a friend's wife, your wife's mother, and your own mother — these five are to be regarded as mothers.
What it means
Respect has a wide circle. The women connected to your leaders, teachers, friends and family deserve the same honour you give your mother. Such respect keeps relationships clean and trusting.हिंदी में अर्थ
राजा की पत्नी, गुरु की पत्नी, मित्र की पत्नी, पत्नी की माँ और अपनी माँ—इन पाँचों को माँ के समान माना गया है।
सम्मान का दायरा बड़ा होना चाहिए। गुरु, मित्र और परिवार से जुड़ी स्त्रियों को माँ जैसा आदर दो। ऐसा सम्मान रिश्तों को पवित्र और भरोसेमंद रखता है।
