Chanakya Niti · Chapter 16

Chanakya Niti 16.20 meaning

Knowledge that stays only in books, and money that sits in someone else's hands: when the moment of need comes, that knowledge isn't knowledge and that money isn't money.

What it means
Bookmarked articles and money lent out don't help in a crisis. Learn things until they live in your head, and keep your finances where you can actually reach them when you need to.

Spoken by Chanakya.
