alir ayam nalineedala-madhyagah kamalineemakaranda-madalasah
vidhivashat paradesham upagatah kutajapushparasam bahu manyate
अलिरयं नलिनीदलमध्यगः कमलिनीमकरन्दमदालसः।
विधिवशात्परदेशमुपागतः कुटजपुष्परसं बहु मन्यते॥
This bee once lived among lotus petals, lazy and content with their nectar. Now, carried by fate to a foreign land, it values even the plain kutaja flower's juice.

यह भौंरा कभी कमल की पंखुड़ियों के बीच रहकर उसके रस में मस्त रहता था। अब किस्मत से परदेस पहुँचकर वह साधारण कुटज फूल के रस को भी बहुत मानता है।
जब ज़िंदगी आराम से दूर ले जाती है, नए शहर या कठिन दौर में, तो सादी चीज़ों की कद्र होती है। हालात के साथ ढलना ताकत है। जहाँ भी हो, कृतज्ञता वहीं पनपती है।
