Bhaja Govindam 16 meaning

agre vahnih prishthe bhanuh ratrau chubukasamarpitajanuh karatalabhikshas tarutalavasas tad api na munchaty ashapashah

A fire in front, the sun on his back; at night he sits with his chin on his knees. He eats from his cupped hands and sleeps under a tree. Even so, the noose of desire does not loosen.

What it means
Owning nothing outwardly does not mean you have let go inwardly. A person can give up comforts and still be tied up in wanting. Real renunciation happens in the mind, not just in lifestyle.

Spoken by Adi Shankaracharya.
