ma kuru dhanajanayauvanagarvam harati nimeshat kalah sarvam
mayamayam idam akhilam hitva brahmapadam tvam pravisha viditva
मा कुरु धनजनयौवनगर्वं हरति निमेषात्कालः सर्वम्।
मायामयमिदमखिलं हित्वा ब्रह्मपदं त्वं प्रविश विदित्वा॥
Do not be proud of your wealth, your people, or your youth; time takes all of it away in the blink of an eye. Leave behind this world of illusion, understand the truth, and enter the state of the Supreme.
What it means
Money, popularity and good looks can disappear overnight. Pride in them is building on sand. Enjoy them gratefully, but anchor yourself in something time cannot touch.हिंदी में अर्थ
अपने धन, अपने लोगों या अपनी जवानी पर घमंड मत करो; समय पलक झपकते सब छीन लेता है। इस मायामय संसार का मोह छोड़कर, सत्य को जानकर परम पद में प्रवेश करो।
पैसा, लोकप्रियता और रूप रातों-रात जा सकते हैं। उन पर घमंड रेत पर घर बनाना है। उन्हें आभार से भोगिए, पर ख़ुद को उस चीज़ में टिकाइए जिसे समय छू न सके।
