Srimad Bhagavatam 8.7.44 meaning
tapyante lokatapena sadhavah prayasho janah
paramaradhanam tad dhi purushasy-akhilatmanah
तप्यन्ते लोकतापेन साधवः प्रायशो जनाः।
परमाराधनं तद्धि पुरुषस्याखिलात्मनः॥
Good people mostly suffer the pain of the world as their own. This is the highest worship of the Lord who lives in every being.
