We take refuge in that Lord who protects whoever comes to him in fear, running from the mighty serpent of death that rushes at us with fierce speed; the Lord out of fear of whom death itself runs.
What it means
Fear of loss and death is universal. Gajendra turns toward a power greater than death itself. Trusting something bigger than our fears doesn't erase danger, but it gives us somewhere to stand.
Spoken by Gajendra.
