yasmat priyapriyaviyogasanyogajanma shokagnina sakalayonishu dahyamanah
duhkhaushadham tad api duhkham ataddhiy-aham bhooman bhramami vada me tava dasyayogam
यस्मात्प्रियाप्रियवियोगसंयोगजन्म शोकाग्निना सकलयोनिषु दह्यमानः।
दुःखौषधं तदपि दुःखमतद्धियाहं भूमन्भ्रमामि वद मे तव दास्ययोगम्॥
Burning in every life in the fire of grief that comes from losing what I love and meeting what I dislike, I wander. Even the cures for pain are painful when the mind is confused. O Lord, tell me how to serve you.
What it means
Life keeps handing us partings and things we do not want, and our quick fixes often hurt too. Prahlada asks for a deeper remedy: a purpose larger than our own pain.हिंदी में अर्थ
हर जन्म में प्रिय के बिछुड़ने और अप्रिय के मिलने से पैदा हुई शोक की आग में जलता हुआ मैं भटकता हूँ। भ्रमित मन के लिए दुख की दवा भी दुख बन जाती है। हे प्रभु, बताइए मैं आपकी सेवा कैसे करूँ।
जीवन हमें बार-बार बिछोह और अनचाही चीज़ें देता है, और हमारे जल्दबाज़ इलाज भी अक्सर चोट देते हैं। प्रह्लाद गहरी दवा माँगता है: अपने दुख से बड़ा एक उद्देश्य।
