Srimad Bhagavatam 4.20.13 meaning
samah saman-ottamamadhyam-adhamah sukhe cha duhkhe cha jitendriy-ashayah
may-opakaॢpt-akhilalokasanyuto vidhatsva veer-akhilalokarakshanam
समः समानोत्तममध्यमाधमः सुखे च दुःखे च जितेन्द्रियाशयः।
मयोपकॢप्ताखिललोकसंयुतो विधत्स्व वीराखिललोकरक्षणम्॥
Treat equally those who are higher, equal, middling or lower. Stay steady in happiness and sorrow, master your senses and mind, and with all the resources I have provided, protect the whole world, brave one.

हे वीर, उत्तम, समान, मध्यम और निम्न सबके प्रति समभाव रखो। सुख-दुख में एक जैसे रहो, इंद्रियों और मन को जीतो, और मेरे दिए सब साधनों से संपूर्ण लोक की रक्षा करो।
विष्णु की राजा को दी सलाह हर नेता के लिए है: सबके साथ न्याय करो, उतार-चढ़ाव में स्थिर रहो, स्वयं पर नियंत्रण रखो और जो है उससे दूसरों की रक्षा करो।
