animitta bhagavatee bhaktih siddher gareeyasee
jarayaty-ashu ya kosham nigeernam analo yatha
अनिमित्ता भागवती भक्तिः सिद्धेर्गरीयसी।
जरयत्याशु या कोशं निगीर्णमनलो यथा॥
Devotion to the Lord that seeks nothing in return is greater even than liberation. Like fire burning up food in the stomach, it quickly dissolves the subtle body built by past actions.

बिना किसी स्वार्थ के भगवान की भक्ति मुक्ति से भी बड़ी है। जैसे पेट की अग्नि खाए हुए अन्न को पचा देती है, वैसे ही यह भक्ति कर्मों से बने सूक्ष्म शरीर को जल्दी ही गला देती है।
बिना किसी मकसद का प्रेम पुरानी आदतों और भारी कर्मों को चुपचाप पचा देता है। जब हम पूछना छोड़ देते हैं कि बदले में क्या मिलेगा, तब दिल हल्का और आज़ाद हो जाता है।
