naham tav-anghrikamalam kshanardham api keshava
tyaktum samutsahe natha svadhama naya mam api
नाहं तवाङ्घ्रिकमलं क्षणार्धमपि केशव।
त्यक्तुं समुत्सहे नाथ स्वधाम नय मामपि॥
Keshava, my master, I cannot bear to leave your lotus feet even for half a moment. Please take me with you to your own abode.

हे केशव, मेरे नाथ, मैं आपके चरण-कमलों को आधे क्षण के लिए भी छोड़ने का साहस नहीं कर सकता। मुझे भी अपने धाम ले चलिए।
उद्धव की यह विनती हर उस हृदय की पुकार है जो अपने सबसे प्रिय को खोने से डरता है। ऐसा गहरा प्रेम कमज़ोरी नहीं; यह दिखाता है कि हम कितनी गहराई से जुड़ सकते हैं।
