tushyeyam sarvabhootatma gurushushrooshaya yatha
I, the soul of all beings, am not as pleased by rituals, by birth in a good family, by austerity or by self-restraint, as I am by service to one's teacher.
What it means
Krishna reminds his childhood friend that respecting and serving those who taught us matters more than rituals. Gratitude to teachers is a lifelong duty. Thank a teacher this week.
Spoken by Krishna.
