Srimad Bhagavatam 10.1.40 meaning
vrajans tishthan pad-aikena yath-aiv-aikena gachchati
yatha trinajalauk-aivam dehee karmagatim gatah
A person walking places one foot firmly before lifting the other; a caterpillar grips the next blade of grass before letting go of the last. In the same way the soul, driven by its karma, takes up a new body before leaving the old.
What it means
Life flows on, step by step, guided by what we have done. Death is not a full stop but a passage. What we carry forward is shaped by our actions, so live with care.
Spoken by Vasudeva.
