Srimad Bhagavatam 1.8.48 meaning

aho me pashyatajnanam hridi roodham duratmanah parakyasyaiva dehasya bahvyo mekshauhineer hatah

Look at the ignorance rooted in my wicked heart! For the sake of this body, which will in the end belong to others, I have caused many armies to be killed.

What it means
After victory, Yudhishthira feels only remorse. Winning at a terrible cost can leave you empty. Before any fight, ask whether what you gain is worth what others will lose.

Spoken by Yudhishthira.
