Srimad Bhagavatam 1.2.19 meaning

tada rajastamobhavah kamalobhadayash cha ye cheta etair anaviddham sthitam sattve praseedati

Then the restless and dull states of the mind, such as lust and greed, lose their grip. The mind, untouched by them, rests in clarity and becomes peaceful.

What it means
Peace is not something added to the mind from outside. It is what remains when craving and agitation fall away. Clear the noise, and calm appears on its own.
