Srimad Bhagavatam 1.2.17 meaning

shrinvatam svakathah krishnah punyashravanakeertanah hridy-antahstho hy-abhadrani vidhunoti suhrit satam

Krishna, whose stories purify those who hear and sing them, is the friend of the good. Sitting in the heart of those who listen to his stories, he washes away whatever is unhealthy within them.

What it means
What we listen to shapes who we become. Filling the mind with stories of goodness and love slowly cleans it from within, like fresh water flowing through a pipe.
