Srimad Bhagavatam 1.2.10 meaning

kamasya nendriyapreetir labho jeeveta yavata jeevasya tattvajijnasa nartho yash cheha karmabhih

The aim of desire is not sense pleasure, but simply enough to keep living. And the aim of life is to seek the truth, not the things people chase through endless work.

What it means
Take what you need to live well, then turn your energy to understanding life itself. Comfort is a support, not the destination. The deepest hunger in a person is the hunger to know what is real.
