samagatah sarvata eva sarve veda yatha moortidharas triprishthe
n-eh-atha n-amutra cha kashchan-artha rite paranugraham atmasheelam
समागताः सर्वत एव सर्वे वेदा यथा मूर्तिधरास्त्रिपृष्ठे।
नेहाथ नामुत्र च कश्चनार्थ ऋते परानुग्रहमात्मशीलम्॥
You have gathered here from everywhere like the Vedas in person. In this world and the next, you have no purpose of your own except the kindness to others that is your nature.
What it means
Parikshit describes truly good people: they have nothing to gain, and help simply because that is who they are. Seek out such people, and try to become one.हिंदी में अर्थ
आप सब यहाँ हर जगह से ऐसे आए हैं जैसे स्वयं वेद मूर्तिमान हो गए हों। इस लोक या परलोक में आपका कोई स्वार्थ नहीं, सिवाय दूसरों पर कृपा करने के, जो आपका स्वभाव है।
परीक्षित सच्चे अच्छे लोगों का वर्णन करते हैं: उन्हें कुछ नहीं चाहिए, वे बस इसलिए मदद करते हैं क्योंकि यही उनका स्वभाव है। ऐसे लोगों को खोजिए और वैसा बनने की कोशिश कीजिए।
