Srimad Bhagavatam 1.1.1 meaning

janmady asya yatonvayad itaratash ch-artheshv abhijnah svarat tene brahma hrida ya adikavaye muhyanti yat soorayah tejovarimridam yatha vinimayo yatra trisargomrisha dhamna svena sada nirastakuhakam satyam param dheemahi

We meditate on the Supreme Truth: the source of the world's birth, upkeep and end, all-knowing and self-shining, who revealed the Veda to Brahma through the heart and puzzles even sages. In him creation seems real like a mirage, yet his own light keeps him forever free of illusion.

What it means
The Bhagavatam opens not with a story but with an act of attention: fixing the mind on the one truth beneath everything. Before chasing answers, it asks us to pause and remember what holds the whole world together.
