Bhagavad Gita 9.5 meaning
na cha matsthani bhootani pashya me yogam aishvaram
bhootabhrin na cha bhootastho mamatma bhootabhavanah
And yet beings do not truly dwell in me—behold my divine mystery! I sustain all beings and bring them into existence, yet my Self is not contained in them.
What it means
Krishna speaks in a paradox to show that the Divine can't be boxed in by simple logic. It supports everything without being trapped by anything. Some truths are felt more than explained. How it helps in real life
- Big decisions: Trying to logically prove every spiritual idea before trying it? Experience a practice first, like a week of prayer, then judge.
- As a parent: Your child asks a question about God you can't answer? Say honestly 'some things are felt more than explained,' and pray together.
Spoken by Krishna.
