Bhagavad Gita · Jnana Vijnana Yoga
Bhagavad Gita 7.13 meaning
tribhir gunamayair bhavair ebhih sarvam idam jagat
mohitam nabhijanati mam ebhyah param avyayam
Deluded by these three kinds of moods born of nature, the whole world fails to recognise me, who stand beyond them and never change.
What it means
We get so caught up in our moods and reactions that we miss what is steady underneath. Stepping back from the drama is how you begin to sense something unchanging. How it helps in real life
- When you are angry: Caught in a heated family WhatsApp debate? Step back, put the phone down, and wait until the drama settles before you reply.
- Every day: Moods swinging from morning to night? Start each day with one minute of noticing the quiet part of you that stays the same.
Spoken by Krishna.
