Bhagavad Gita · Dhyana Yoga
Bhagavad Gita 6.46 meaning
tapasvibhyodhiko yogee jnanibhyopi matodhikah
karmibhyash chadhiko yogee tasmad yogee bhav-arjuna
The yogi is greater than those who practise harsh austerities, greater than the merely learned, and greater than those who perform rituals for reward. So, Arjuna, be a yogi.
What it means
Self-punishment, book knowledge and ritual all have limits. What matters most is a mind truly connected and steady. Krishna's advice is direct: do not just admire this, live it.
Spoken by Krishna.
