Bhagavad Gita 6.40 meaning
partha naiveha namutra vinashas tasya vidyate
nahi kalyanakrit kashchid durgatim tata gachchati
Partha, there is no ruin for such a person, neither in this world nor the next. My dear friend, no one who does good ever comes to a bad end.
What it means
One of the most reassuring lines in the Gita. No sincere effort toward good is ever wasted. Even if you fall short, the goodness you practised stays with you.How it helps in real life
- After a setback: Your charity fundraiser raised far less than hoped? The good you did still counts; thank every donor personally and plan next year.
- When you are worried: Worried your honest choices will leave you behind your peers? Remember no one who does good comes to a bad end; keep going.
Spoken by Krishna.
