Bhagavad Gita 3.38 meaning
dhoomenavriyate vahnir yathadarsho malena cha
yatholbenavrito garbhas tatha tenedam avritam
As fire is covered by smoke, a mirror by dust, and an unborn baby by the womb, so is wisdom covered by desire.
What it means
Your inner clarity never disappears; it just gets covered. Sometimes lightly like smoke, sometimes heavily like dust. Clearing desire a little at a time lets your natural wisdom shine again. How it helps in real life
- Big decisions: Want the flashy job so badly you can't think straight? Sleep on it, then list the pros and cons with a calm mind.
- Every day: Wake up already wanting things from the day? Spend two minutes sitting still first and let your clear mind come through.
Spoken by Krishna.
