Bhagavad Gita 3.14 meaning
annad bhavanti bhootani parjanyad annasambhavah
yajnad bhavati parjanyo yajnah karmasamudbhavah
Living beings come from food; food comes from rain; rain comes from sacrifice; and sacrifice is born of action.
What it means
Everything is connected. Our food depends on rain, rain on the balance of nature, and that balance on how we act. Each small action ripples outward into the whole web of life. How it helps in real life
- Helping others: Wasting food after a big Diwali party? Pack the leftovers today and give them to your building's guards and cleaning staff.
- Every day: Before your breakfast, take ten seconds to thank the farmer, the rain and the cook. Then eat without your phone.
