Bhagavad Gita · Karma Yoga
Bhagavad Gita 3.1 meaning
jyayasee chet karmanas te mata buddhir janardana
tat kim karmani ghore mam niyojayasi keshava
Janardana, if you think understanding is better than action, then why, Keshava, are you pushing me into this terrible deed?
What it means
Arjuna is confused: if understanding matters more than doing, why fight at all? We often look for a philosophy that lets us escape a hard task. This honest question opens Krishna's teaching on action. How it helps in real life
- At work: Reading productivity books instead of filing your GST returns? Notice the escape, close the book, and do the return first.
- Big decisions: Confused whether to keep planning or just launch your app? Ask a mentor one honest question today instead of hiding in research.
Spoken by Arjuna.
