Bhagavad Gita 2.51 meaning

karmajam buddhiyukta hi phalam tyaktva maneeshinah janmabandhavinirmuktah padam gachchanty-anamayam

The wise, joined with this understanding, let go of the fruits that action brings. Freed from the bondage of birth, they reach a state beyond all suffering.

What it means
Letting go of the need for particular outcomes lifts a huge weight. The wise still act fully, but without the chains of expectation, and that is where real freedom lies.

Spoken by Krishna.
