Bhagavad Gita 2.13 meaning
dehinosmin yatha dehe kaumaram yauvanam jara
tatha dehantara-praptir dheeras tatra na muhyati
Just as the soul in this body passes through childhood, youth and old age, so it passes into another body. The steady person is not confused by this.
What it means
We have already lived through many 'deaths': the child we were is gone, yet we remain. Seeing change as a passage, not an ending, helps us face ageing and loss with calm. How it helps in real life
- Health & body: Spotting grey hair at 35 and panicking? Look at your old school photo; you've changed many times and you're still you.
- As a parent: Your child is leaving for college in Bengaluru and the house feels empty. Treat it as a new chapter and plan your first visit.
Spoken by Krishna.
