Bhagavad Gita 18.56 meaning
sarvakarmany-api sada kurvano madvyapashrayah
matprasadad avapnoti shashvatam padam avyayam
सर्वकर्माण्यपि सदा कुर्वाणो मद्व्यपाश्रयः।
मत्प्रसादादवाप्नोति शाश्वतं पदमव्ययम्॥
Even while always doing all kinds of work, one who takes refuge in me reaches, by my grace, the eternal, unchanging home.
What it means
You do not need to leave your job or family to find the highest goal. Keep working, keep living, but rest your heart in the divine. Grace meets you right where you are.How it helps in real life
- At work: Juggling a full-time job, two kids and an MBA, you feel too busy for God. Whisper a prayer in the cab; grace finds busy people too.
- As a parent: Feeding a baby at 3 am, you miss your old temple visits. Hum a bhajan while you rock her; this too is worship.
