Bhagavad Gita 18.48 meaning
sahajam karma kaunteya sadosham api na tyajet
sarvarambha hi doshena dhoomen-agnir iv-avritah
Do not give up the work that comes naturally to you, Arjuna, even if it has flaws. Every undertaking is clouded by some flaw, as fire is by smoke.
What it means
No job, relationship or project is flawless. Fire always comes with smoke. Quitting every time you spot a downside means you will never finish anything worthwhile. How it helps in real life
- At work: Your new job has an annoying commute and a moody boss. Every job has smoke; give it six months before you start looking.
- In love & marriage: Your husband snores and forgets anniversaries. Every marriage has flaws; focus on what works and talk kindly about the rest.
Spoken by Krishna.
