What it means
Every act, whether a thought, a word or a deed, good or bad, comes from the same mix of factors. Seeing this helps us understand others before judging them, and ourselves before blaming. How it helps in real life
- With friends: Your friend cancelled your birthday dinner last minute. Before judging, ask what's going on in his life; there may be more to it.
- As a parent: Your teenager shouted at you after school. Before punishing, ask about his day; many things shape one outburst.
